ٱقۡرَأۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ
Recite in the name of your Lord who createdSurah 96

العلق

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Translations convey meaning. Only the Arabic is the Quran.
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ
Created man from a clinging substanceٱقۡرَأۡ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generousٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِٱلۡقَلَمِ
Who taught by the penعَلَّمَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مَا لَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ
Taught man that which he knew notكَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَيَطۡغَىٰٓ
No! [But] indeed, man transgressesأَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰٓ
Because he sees himself self-sufficientإِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجۡعَىٰٓ
Indeed, to your Lord is the returnأَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يَنۡهَىٰ
Have you seen the one who forbidsعَبۡدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ
A servant when he praysأَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ
Have you seen if he is upon guidanceأَوۡ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰٓ
Or enjoins righteousnessأَرَءَيۡتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ
Have you seen if he denies and turns awayأَلَمۡ يَعۡلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ
Does he not know that Allah seesكَلَّا لَئِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهِ لَنَسۡفَعَۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ
No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelockنَاصِيَةٖ كَٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٖ
A lying, sinning forelockفَلۡيَدۡعُ نَادِيَهُۥ
Then let him call his associatesسَنَدۡعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ
We will call the angels of Hellكَلَّا لَا تُطِعۡهُ وَٱسۡجُدۡۤ وَٱقۡتَرِب۩
