سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most HighSurah 87

الأعلى
The Most High · Meccan · 19 ayahs
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Translations convey meaning. Only the Arabic is the Quran.
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
Who created and proportionedوَٱلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
And who destined and [then] guidedوَٱلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ
And who brings out the pastureفَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوَىٰ
And [then] makes it black stubbleسَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forgetإِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفَىٰ
Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hiddenوَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ
And We will ease you toward easeفَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ
So remind, if the reminder should benefitسَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ
He who fears [Allah] will be remindedوَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى
But the wretched one will avoid itٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fireثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ
Neither dying therein nor livingقَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
He has certainly succeeded who purifies himselfوَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
And mentions the name of his Lord and praysبَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا
But you prefer the worldly lifeوَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ
While the Hereafter is better and more enduringإِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
Indeed, this is in the former scripturesصُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
